lol!! i can understand the frustration:)it happens.. even i was thinking if we cud actually *change* 2 say some adivasi or ervaa tribe..cos the former suggestion of growing smarter will not work out:))) Chill!!!
@gayathri : despite that comment we are gonna still try n grow 'smarter' arent we??? hi harish...and @divide_by_zero:we cant really change our caste, but its def possible to get a fake(extremely illegal!!) certificate..
@hash:damn right, they seem to be digging our grave!! @nero, :) i def will let u know that if i do find out!!!! deepesh, i am definitely not saying that the iims are farther away and this is in no way gonna affect the way i prepare(if i do??!!) ..what im trying to say here is that the situation seems unfair..that the so called general caste now become outcast????
@hash,@arch .. It is a fact that the politicans exploit the volatility of our society for votes.. But I disagree with foisting the blame for the failures of our society on them.. they are after all representative of the society we live in... Where there is a demand there will be suppliers waiting to exploit it .. there exists 69% reservation in TN because the local populace demands it .. and in a democracy the will of the majority will prevail no matter how unfair it might be.. there are many brahmins amongst us who exploit the management "quota" .. from a highly abstracted point of view though many of them were undoubtedly more intelligent than a lot others who got through merit they did not technically deserve those seats.. they chose to stick with CBSE where their chances of making into IIT was higher .. failing which for want of better education they chose to use the management seat to get something which was not rightfully theirs in the first place.. whether we like it or not.. the choices we make dictate our lives.. and we should be ready to preserve our principles and face the consequences.. there comes a time in everyones life where we are faced with the realisation of what we truly deserve and what we dont .. some choose to accept it.. most choose to mask their shortcomings with the illusion of wealth, power, fame, trickery .. A world environment where being content is misconstrued as a lack of ambition and a sign of failure will psychologically breed more of the latter than the former.
