i walked into the room with a jaunty swagger that would probably have done credit to a General. - the pride of being an engineer(forgetting the fact that millions , inc everyone else in the room were too ), the pride of " ha! what could a communication, softskills training instill anything new in me" .. but at the end of the day i realised how little i knew. , i realised i dint know what my company revenues are like, who my client really is, what my client actually pays for me as an employee.i realised my goals werent streamlined enough, i dont have a time chart, accounts for my expenditure... i am not even inspired to achieve what i dream - sheltered in ambiguity, i walked out of the room tired, beat - apalled.

as much as u blame urself fr all this - blame ur manager too - i cant imagine a scenario where someone is put on a proj without really knowing in depth what the money involved and the per person revenue targets are like - maybe its not really necessary when all tht is needed is just finishing work on time - but in the end - someday - mebbe not when we're 30 - but mebbe in a yr frm now - we'll all realise we're paid hefty sums fr doing piles of work on an excel sheet rather than sit and code using Java - everything actly boils down to bringing biz fr a firm these days - the sales angle is so critical - americans are so good at tht - whilst indians are content developing the product - we've all gotto change1

no shyam i do not blame myself.. not my manager either... really doesnt make any difference to the work i do- the fact that i lack the inspiration to learn some basic stuff that i can use - which makes me so normal & like everyone else - that bugs me.
